About the Bride

Nicole Freeman

Nicole Louise… The responsible one of the two. Smart, beautiful, and honest. You want the truth? She’ll give it to you. It’s easy to see how a man could fall in love with such a woman.

Nicole is oldest of the Freeman family. She grew up in Whitby, moving only next door on Grath Cres when her youngest brother was on the way. Her parent’s Doug and Sheila have raised her to be athletic, responsible and to know the difference between right and wrong. Her siblings, Lindsay, Jeff and Scott, are a constant source of laughter, competition, and support. Nicole and Lindsay were inseparable on their ringette teams, always having to be 1 jersey number apart from the other. Growing up a Freeman has been an exciting adventure and she looks forward to reaching future milestones with her immediate and extended family.

After finishing high school, Nicole went off to Brock University. Following University, Nicole flew across the world to Australia for a year to attend teachers college. She now teaches in Toronto at a private school for athletes.

Nicole is a good friend, a loving fiancé, and a committed professional.

About the Groom

Chad Armstrong

Sir Chadwick of Armstrong... The eldest of the two :P. He is an old soul. Forget about asking him to do modern. He likes old bikes, old music, old movies, and the ‘good ole’ days’!

Chad is a fabulous cook, a hardworking firefighter, a talented guitar player and all round good fiancé and soon to be husband.

Chad is the youngest of the Armstrong family. He spent his childhood in Markham and his teen years in Pickering. His parent’s Paul and Diana have raised him with good morals and strong values. His siblings, Beth and Donnie, are a constant source of support for him. Growing up you rarely saw Chad without his best friend and brother, Donnie.

Chad’s motivation to become a fire fighter came from his dad, who was a fire Captain for the town of Markham for 30 plus years. Chad has been working for the Pickering Fire Department for 5 years now and his family is very proud of him.

Chad is a good friend, an endearing fiancé, and a committed professional.

Message from the Bride & Groom

Nicole and Chad have been friends since they were teenagers. (They can thank the O’Briens and all of their summer cottage weekend and holiday parties). They always had a crush on each other but decided they made better friends than lovers. It wasn’t until 3 years ago that their paths crossed once again and they finally asked each other at a local pub in the Shwa "So why didn’t we ever date?"... not having a good answer they gave it a try and here they are today. They look forward to sharing their momentous day with all of those who can make it. For those who cannot make it, they look forward to celebrating their union another day and hope that you continue to support them in their life’s journey.
